Nursing is a profession that I have always been passionate about since a young age. When I was growing up, both of my parents were nurses and my aunt was an RN, so it seemed like nursing was in my blood. From an early age, I saw the positive impact that nurses had on people in their communities; they provided care for those who needed it and made patients feel comfortable and secure. Watching this inspired me to pursue nursing myself with the goal of making a difference in someone’s life. When I started researching different nursing paths, what really drew me to the field was the opportunity to combine science and compassion into one job role. As a nurse you can use your scientific knowledge to diagnose illnesses while also providing emotional support for your patients during difficult times. This combination of skills allows you to build meaningful relationships with those around you while helping them heal physically and mentally. Another major factor that influenced my decision to become a nurse was the variety of career options available within the field; from becoming a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), there are many paths one can take depending on their interests and qualifications. After exploring each option carefully, I chose to become an RN because it gave me access to more advanced roles such as case manager or clinical researcher which will allow me grow professionally while still being abletohelpothers onthefrontlinesof healthcare delivery.
