Only adjectives that end in e or -ista do not change according to gender ( deportista, paciente). Those that end in o are masculine, those that end in a are feminine. Adjectives that end in -or, -ón, or ín have a feminine form.

Masculine: trabajador, deportista, paciente,alto, viejo
Feminine: trabajadora, deportista, paciente, alta vieja
