Pathogenic or infectious diseases are caused when the body is invaded by external infectious agents or pathogens such as viruses, bacteria, parasites, or fungi. These harmful agents can be present in water, soil, and air. Humans can acquire infections by consuming contaminated substances through drinking, eating, or touching. Bacterial pathogenic diseases include pneumonia and generator infections, while viral pathogenic illnesses encompass influenza and measles.

Both malaria and candidiasis are pathogenic diseases caused by parasites and fungi, respectively. Conversely, deficiency diseases result from insufficient intake or challenges in digesting, absorbing, or utilizing necessary nutrients such as minerals and vitamins. These nutritional diseases are often associated with prolonged malnutrition.

These disorders are inherited within the same family over generations and passed down from parent to child.
