towards my bigger goal. This will help me stay motivated and see progress in my interpersonal communication skills.
Successfully attaining this goal will benefit me by improving my relationships with others, enhancing my ability to collaborate effectively, and reducing conflicts that arise from misunderstandings.

In order for me to understand and communicate effectively with people in a professional setting, I need to first focus on personal growth. I believe I am close to achieving this goal as I have started by improving my communication skills with my children. Instead of arguing and sending them to time out, I now listen to them, explain right from wrong, and discipline them accordingly or simply ask them not to repeat their actions.

Since deciding to make and work on my goal of taking care of my children, it has proven to be beneficial for me. I was initially concerned that this goal would be difficult to achieve due to my past attitude and lack of consideration for others' feelings. However, when my daughter unexpectedly expressed her pride in me for taking care of them, I was filled with joy. This feedback from my daughter has reinforced the success of my goal and the positive impact it has had on our relationship.

Working on my goal turned out to be easier than I expected. Instead of having to scream or rant to be heard, I found that expressing myself allowed me to be heard. By being patient and listening to others, I believe I can achieve this goal in all aspects of my life. It may not take long to attain, but it is a challenging

process that requires me to take it one step at a time. I must remember to listen first, gather my thoughts, and then respond with my input. Achieving this goal would have several benefits. People would want to be around me more and value my opinions. Moreover, they would be proud of the positive changes I have made. Most importantly, I would be proud of myself for learning to listen instead of interrupting or being rude.

2. A goal for interpersonal improvement in my academic life is to consistently submit homework on time as an online student. I believe that improving in this area will help me become a more successful student. Currently, I struggle with meeting assignment deadlines and often find myself behind schedule. Therefore, I am quite far from attaining this goal. However, I do not think the goal is set too high or too low. It is a realistic goal that is attainable with proper time management and discipline.

In terms of the time it will take me to attain this goal, it will require continuous effort and dedication. It might not be accomplished overnight, but through perseverance, I can eventually make significant progress. Furthermore, setting smaller goals along the way can help me maintain motivation and track my progress.

Successfully attaining this goal will benefit me greatly in my academic journey. By submitting my homework on time, I will create a more organized study routine and reduce stress levels. Additionally, it will enhance my learning experience by allowing me to fully engage with the course material and actively participate in discussions.

I want to improve this area because it is

quite nerve-wracking to constantly miss my assignments, and I don't want to receive a low grade due to internet-related issues. During my five-year incarceration, I was not technologically proficient, so I was surprised to see touch screen phones upon my release. When I left, everything still revolved around keyboards, paper applications, and homework. Thus, it was a significant transition for me. I believe that the goal I have set for myself is modest since it involves changing my mindset and dedicating time to comprehend and grasp the fundamental concepts of computers.

The amount of time it would take to learn is uncertain since it differs from being in school all day. In school, there are fewer distractions and a set time to complete tasks. However, outside of school, finding time to concentrate and work on skills is challenging. To address this, I created a schedule and set smaller goals. I also prioritized learning about computers by eliminating less important activities. I found it helpful to dedicate early mornings when the kids are asleep to focus on learning.

By implementing these changes, it becomes easier for me to accomplish tasks efficiently. Additionally, this modification allows me to complete my work promptly and enhances my ability to search for information rapidly compared to my previous workflow.

3. In terms of my professional life, one goal I have is to improve my interpersonal communication skills. Specifically, I would like to work on areas where I may be lacking. Currently, I am not very far from attaining this goal as I have already identified the areas in which I need improvement. However, I believe this

goal is set appropriately as it challenges me to push myself and strive for growth in my career.

Why, or why not? How long will it take me to achieve this goal? If the goal will take a long time to achieve, could you set smaller goals that you could achieve while still working towards your bigger goal? How will you benefit from successfully achieving your goal? (Your professional goal and explanations go here. Be sure to respond to each question above) I desire to enhance my job searching skills in my professional life. As mentioned earlier in my initial two goals, they both align with this objective.

I feel like I am far from achieving my goal because I lack the necessary resources and my background seems to be a barrier to employment. As a result, I have started setting smaller goals instead of pursuing my initial option. Currently, my first step is to search for job listings on Google or craigslist and contact potential employers to inquire about their requirements. My second goal is to complete job applications and regularly follow up on their status after submission. Additionally, I have set a target of completing at least five applications per day.

I believe this goal is neither too ambitious nor too easy. Ultimately, I am playing my role in completing the application and waiting for a response from employers. It's difficult to determine if achieving my goal will take a long time, but I hope that the approach I'm taking will be advantageous. If not, I may need to explore other avenues to attract the attention of employers. This could

involve seeking job information from friends or utilizing one-stop centers or programs that may lead to potential employment.
