There are many different types of fiction. Many people confuse these different types of fiction and classify fiction books into incorrect groups. To help better understand fiction they would have to know what types of fiction there are and what they’re like. These types of fiction include realistic fiction, science fiction, and historical fiction. Realistic fiction refers to stories that might really happen, stories set in a particular time and that happen to a particular people.
The plot of a realistic story focuses on everyday problems, pleasures and personal relationships and the setting seems as real as the world we know. Science fiction is a genre of fiction in which the stories often tell about science and technology of the future. It is important to note that science fiction has a relationship with the principles of science, which are important scientific laws and theories. Science fiction is not “realistic” in the sense that you can have aliens and futuristic technologies in it. Science fiction is largely based on writing about possible worlds or futures.
