Deontological ethics are based on duty or obligation and humanitarian or action approach. Some moral rules in business are compulsory regardless of the outcome according to the approach of deontological ethics (Mika, 2012). The approach does not consider what good a business action might cause rather than the action itself. The approach looks at whether an action is prohibited or the obligation of the rules which are usually expressed negatively. For instance do not lie, do not commit fraud, and do not steal. Sometimes the rules are expressed positively, for example, keep the environment clean and respect all people. According to Milka, (2012), the rules are also referred to as constraints and stop people in businesses from doing wrong no matter what goodness can be accomplished by the action. Teleological ethics is an approach that judges actions upon their outcomes. The approach is based on the purpose of the business transaction or the end (Mika, 2012). A business action is said to be ethical or unethical depending on the results. The goal is the development of the human mind, spirit and body to the fullest potential possible and produces great happiness to a great number of people. Examples of teleological ethics in business are utilitarianism and virtue ethics. In utilitarianism, torturing a person for information that can save a whole the business is an ethical thing to do and is not wrong. Types of ethical examinations

It is necessary to evaluate ethics through their consistency, the practical value, and the justification. Ethics make societies and organizations strong by linking people from different levels. Ethics is more than a right to do things and it encourages loyalty, boosts the reputation and improves behaviors (Mika, 2012). Descriptive ethics, normative ethics, and analytic or metaethics are the three types of ethical examinations and each of them plays a certain function in the society. Descriptive ethics is the easiest and it describes how people behave and the moral standards they claim to follow. The process of understanding the beliefs of people about moral norms is incorporated in research from the fields of anthropology, psychology, sociology, and history. They are morals of the society and are used to judge actions either as good or bad. They change with time and are different in different sets of people.

Normative ethics, on the other hand, involves generating and assessing moral values. Figuring out what people should do or whether the moral behaviors are reasonable is an attempt in normative ethics. They imply what is good or bad in a society as well as viewing what is acceptable by subjecting it. The other type of ethical examination is analytic ethics also referred to as metaethics and is the most difficult type. It examines ethical terms such as justice and morality as well as defining terms such as good and evil. Using an objective claim as an emotional response is part of metaethics in emotivism. For example, questioning the existence of free will in a society is a metaethics.
