My Short Autobiography
During my early years, I had two primary interests: exploring and examining different household appliances and machinery, as well as driving my older relatives and caretakers insane with countless inquiries about these devices. I frequently asked about how they were made and the people responsible for their design.
Throughout my childhood and young adulthood, my passion for science was evident in my strong curiosity, which often surprised and puzzled others, including my parents. This curiosity fueled my ambition to pursue a career in engineering. Despite facing challenges like financial difficulties, I persevered with determination and diligence to reach this present moment. Throughout it all, I have had an immense passion for studying both Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science.
Despite facing numerous challenges, my plan is to pursue a double major in both
...disciplines. Being the first person in my family to attend university, this opportunity feels like a dream come true, doesn't it? Having moved to the USA from Yemen five years ago, I possess the valuable ability to speak both English and Arabic. This linguistic advantage will undoubtedly benefit me during and after my college life. I fully comprehend the seriousness of choosing these two exceptional disciplines and am ready to tackle them with unwavering determination and hard work — qualities that have always defined me.
Although I have encountered obstacles, my unwavering determination to achieve academic success and pursue a career at NASA remains a constant source of motivation for me. The journey towards these aspirations has been difficult, and there have been moments when I considered prioritizing my soccer hobby over my goals. However, my passion for science and enthusiasm have always prevailed
Opting for engineering as my major was an obvious choice because it was fueled by impactful experiences from my youth that reignited my desire to assist and improve the lives of underserved individuals in society. Additionally, I hold a larger vision of making a positive impact not only within my community but also on a global scale.
Using this incredible profession to make a positive impact on others will bring me immense pride. The obstacles and hurdles I encountered in my early years have prepared me with the resilience and determination needed to excel, even when faced with extreme challenges. I strongly believe that the knowledge and expertise I have yet to gain will be invaluable assets. Additionally, I am confident that immersing myself in unfamiliar environments will greatly enhance my professional growth. I have full confidence in my ability to effectively utilize my skills and past experiences to accomplish both personal and academic goals.
