Although I didn't have an inherent fascination with physical science as a child, my ambition to enroll in a physics course ignited my curiosity and thirst for knowledge on the subject.

Both my academic and non-academic pursuits have contributed significantly to my improved understanding of physics from various perspectives. I must acknowledge that the challenging concepts I learned in class, such as Newton's laws of motion, provided me with insights into their real-world applications.

In addition to my classroom learning, participating in skydiving as a co-curricular activity greatly enhanced both my knowledge and experience with the practical application of forces and motion in physics. Although I expected guidance as a beginner, my tandem guide took a different approach by encouraging trial and error learning. As a result, it became my responsibility to research, comprehend, and effectively utilize the pri

nciples of motion and forces during this thrilling exercise.

During the skydiving exercise, I had to learn about various forces. These included gravitational, air resistance, atmospheric, and chemical bonded forces. When I jumped out of the plane, I experienced acceleration due to gravity. Simultaneously, the upward air resistance increased proportionally to my speed because I weighed more than the air. I discovered an interesting concept called terminal speed, where my speed becomes equal to the air resistance at a balanced point. However, when I opened the parachute, the air resistance increased and slowed down my downward motion caused by gravity. I also learned that to stabilize and increase speed during skydiving, I needed to use the formula for dynamic stability: v^2=(2mg)/ ?AC).

related to my field of study.

Initially, I had a limited understanding of the complex concepts in my course. However, my experience in skydiving taught me how curricular and co-curricular activities are interconnected and enhance each other's comprehension. This knowledge will be valuable in my future career as it equips me to effectively fulfill my duties. Additionally, I realized that physics is closely linked to real-life experiences, so delving deeper into the subject enables me to understand natural occurrences better and develop strategies to minimize their negative impacts. My future career will heavily rely on applying the knowledge gained through both academic and non-academic activities. Furthermore, this knowledge isn't only for personal benefit; it also allows me to address societal issues from a physics perspective and formulate effective approaches to solve them.
