Abstract Chemistry is one of the important sciences in the world because it explains many things in our physical world.

It is considered as the center of science because it contains essential information which could be necessary for other people who study other sciences such as physics, biology, ecology and geology. This essay will discuss some of the branches of chemistry and the importance of each one of them. The research strategy used was to consult up to date academic databases, newspapers and books.

It was discovered that the three branches that will be discussed are unconnected to each other. Therefore, it is fundamental to our life and without it we could not live our life as we live it now.

Chemistry has a lot of branches; the most famous and important three are organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry and physical chemistry. Although there are many branches of chemistry, organic chemistry is the most famous branch. Organic chemistry is the study of all compounds that were formed from carbon.

Change (2002) clarifies that the word organic was originally used by eighteenth century chemists to describe substance obtained from nature such as plants and animals. Also Madison (2006) identifies that before 1828, living organisms were the main source of organic compounds.

In addition, some of organic compound need a million of years to form. This branch it is considered as the famous and important due to carbon atom which is the heart of organic chemistry and without it does not be organic compound. A carbon atom can form a lot of organic compounds due to its ability to form strong bond, stable chains and rings. Therefore, there are more than 20 million synthetic and natural organic compounds known in the world such as methanol.

Organic compounds are plentiful; they are also unique due to their components and their characteristics.

Many people think that organic chemistry is very difficult, complicated and does not belong to our daily life. The study of organic chemistry could be very complicated, but it is very important in our life. If we look around us, we will see everything such as plastics, drugs, medicines, paints and electronics are all related to organic chemistry.

In medical field it used to make medicines to treat some of serious diseases. Also, it is used in creation of clothing, plastics, fibers, and the food we eat.

In addition to that there is a long list of goods used to maintain our life and to make it more easy and suitable.

Although organic compounds form from other organic compounds in from inorganic chemistry. In addition to organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry is a branch that is also important. Inorganic chemistry is the branch that responsible of studying three main things in substances which are the arrangement, synthesis and understands the behavior of inorganic elements and compounds.

Davies (2007) identifies that inorganic chemistry is concerned of the reactions and properties of chemical compounds. Also, it deals with the classification of compounds based on their properties.

Additionally, it has applications in every part of the chemical industry. For example there are catalysis, materials science, medicine, fuel, and agriculture. Inorganic chemistry covers most of all substances and compounds that o not contain carbon with hydrogen bonds which are the base of organic compounds. Although carbon is considered as the major general element in organic chemistry, inorganic chemical compounds can contain carbon atoms.

For instance, carbon monoxide (CO) and carbon dioxide (CA) both contain carbon element, but are inorganic compounds.

Many inorganic compounds are ionic compounds that consisting of two parts which are actions and anions. The two parts are connected together by ionic bonding such as salts magnesium chloride (Magic) and sodium oxide (Anna). One of the important areas in inorganic chemistry is Acids and Bases.

Acids are chemicals which have hydrogen ions (H+) such as sulfuric Acid which is an important industrial chemical and is used in many applications such as fertilizer manufacturing. Also Fagin et al (2003) clarifies that it used in chemical analysis

such as formaldehyde analysis.

Due to this, is produced in huge quantities in all over the world. Bases accept hydrogen ions readily which lead to additional important chemicals. In addition to the importance of inorganic chemistry, it is considered as an artistic field due to the way of the reaction between elements such as magnesium oxide which give a beautiful white light during the composition.

In organic chemistry is related to all branches of chemistry such as physical chemistry. The third branch which comes after organic and inorganic chemistry is physical chemistry. Atkins (n. D. Clarifies that physical chemistry is the branch of chemistry that concerned with the interpretation of the phenomena of chemistry in terms of the underlying principles and law of physics.

In other words, it is the study of atomic, subatomic, and particulate phenomena in chemical systems by using physical laws and concepts. It nearly involves using theories, measurements, and techniques or more usually associated with physics to study, understand and explain chemical substances. Furthermore, it applies the principles, practices and concepts of physics such as motion, energy, force, time, statistical mechanics and dynamics.

This field is concerned with energy allocation in chemical systems which is produced due to the reaction or stored in the element and compound themselves. Physical chemistry is divided into three principal areas: thermodynamics which is the study of the conversion of energy into heat and work, quantum chemistry which describe how toms and subatomic particles behave in various systems. Also Pitter et al (1998) identifies that quantum chemistry is the study of electronic and dynamic properties of metal and mixed non-psychometric clusters.

Additionally, chemical kinetics which studies

the rates of chemical processes. Through the study of these concepts, modern physical chemistry seeks to understand complex chemical problems in other chemistry are related to all type of sciences such as biological and physical sciences. In summary, chemistry is very important science because it related to everything in this universe. People who study other science such as physics and biology, they can find many important information that help them to understand their topics.
