ity.

Coming from a small town, I had not really been exposed to the idea of being in a big city with so many people and very big buildings and so the thought of the experience was simply magnificent for me. Our trip there was going to be a completely new experience for both of us and we were ready to experience and discover a new way of life that I had no idea it even existed in reality since I only heard of the beautiful tales and stories about New York City and Times Square. Before I left home, I had to go through my stuff three times to make sure, than I had not left anything that I might need for my trip behind. I checked my room and bag thoroughly to ensure that no essentials were left behind. All

this time my stomach was hot and bubbling with the thought of being in the big city and walking the streets alone with my friend. As our journey began, I wished that the experience would be one to remember all my life. I made sure that my eyes were wide open throughout the journey and made sure that I did not miss a thing on the road. When we finally arrived at the city, I immediately came to a realization that the city was bigger than I had imagined it to be. My friend was as astonished as I was although he tried to play brave with me I could see that he was a little bit frightened with the sight of the city.

The loud and consistent sounds of the cars hooking was the only thing lingering our ears as we walked across the city streets. When we finally found the hotel we were supposed to stay in at times square, I noticed that the entire city was in a hurry and everyone was minding his or her own business. Ellie whispered to me that everyone in the streets was walking in a rush maybe to get to their destination on time and keep time. The city transportation modes were totally different from the one we were used to back in our town where bikes and cars or even walking were the main means of transport. Here in the city, I would see people hailing at taxis or waiting for buses while other rushed down to the subways underground and the railway stations to catch the train to their destination. I found it interesting to

stand at the hotel window and watch all the activities going on in the big city and people rushing to their own separate ways. Apart from the many people moving up and down the street of Times Square, the buildings were also an incredible sight for Ellie and me. As we walked across the streets, we noted that all the streets were crammed built in between the streets side by side and there were no spaces in between buildings. The buildings seemed like a fleet of blocks all owned by one person but that was not the case.

At some moment, I was awestruck as we entered some of these huge buildings like the Empire State Building as we made our way up the building, which was a lot of fun and fascinating. As we stood on top of the building, we felt like we could touch the clouds and felt like we could just fly up into the clouds. It felt like one could hold the entire city in our arms from the viewpoint since it seemed very small. From the stories, I could see Ellis Island and it was only a small distance from where we were. The stores in these buildings were larger compared to the ones in our town and one store could even take up an entire building. This could probably be the reason why things in the Times Square were sold at almost triple the normal prices back in our small town. Compared to the town I came from, New York City was a magnificent wonder city that was worth living in all my life.My visit at the Times Square

in New York City was a life changing experience. I can proudly say that I was part of what the real world tastes like and I was able to have a historical visit that will influence the way I reason out about new places for the rest of my life. I can say that I was exposed to the taste of the big city life for the first time in my life. I had never imagined that what I saw in the movies was what actually goes on in the city. The incredible modes of transportation used in the city and the big skyscrapers with thousands of people moving across the city made me nervous but at the same time excited to watch them all.

When I complete my studies, I want to move up to the incredible city of New York and experience all the fun and good things I saw there. Either way I can say that, my first trip to time square was not only incredible but life changing. It made me make very important decisions regarding my future and what I want to be in life. I will always treasure the memories from the trip, as they will help me when I finally decide to go to live in the city. Each day spent at times square has its meaning. People usually visit the Times Square for different reasons and that is why the place is full of strangers with each one of them having their own reason to be there. The excitement of being at times square makes one forget about all their worries and enjoy the cool experience of the

place. In conclusion, I can say that as people continue to crowd Times Square, it is important that the government maintain security to the visitors for their peace of mind.
