When pondering the holocaust, Adolph Hitler's notoriety as a vile orator and millions of lost Jewish lives come to mind. As one of history's most despicable figures, Hitler is easily associated with evil. Through his adept use of language, he convinced Germans that Jews were responsible for their problems, resulting in their harsh removal from society and imprisonment in death camps.
Hitler's successful propaganda convinced Germans that Jews caused all problems, resulting in the creation of camps where they were imprisoned. These camps weren't just for confinement; they also became sites where millions of Jews were murdered. Auschwitz was especially infamous, with more than 2 million Jews killed by means such as shooting, gas chambers, and even burning alive.
The killing locations of the camp were made up of small farms and homes that were bou
...ght, such as the prominent Little Red House and Little White House. Jewish people, including teenagers aged 14, were cramped with hundreds of others in train cars and taken to an unknown place where they had to get off due to the orders of a yelling man.
Arriving at Auschwitz Concentration Camp required caution when leaving the railcar as deceased individuals from the journey were present. Families were separated by gender upon disembarking, with women and men on opposite sides. The chaotic atmosphere included distressed children crying out during forceful separation from their parents and siblings. Sadly, many never reunited with loved ones as they were directed towards gas chambers.
One of the most dreadful concentration camps during the holocaust was Auschwitz, situated in Oswiecim, Poland. It was established in the initial phase of World War II.
