What is Serotonin And Norepinephrine?
Serotonin and Norepinephrine are two neurotransmitters that play a key role in regulating mood, emotion, sleep, appetite and other functions in the body. Both neurotransmitters work together to maintain healthy emotional regulation but when one is out of balance so too can be our moods which may lead to more serious mental health issues like depression or anxiety disorders if left untreated.Serotonin is largely produced in the gastrointestinal tract while norepinephrine comes from both the central nervous system (CNS) as well as certain hormones released by your adrenal glands during times of stress or excitement. Various medications can be used to help regulate these two neurotransmitters if they become imbalanced due to illness or certain lifestyle factors such as stress levels or diet choices. Additionally, increasing physical activity which helps improve circulation throughout your body may also help keep these hormones balanced naturally over time too. In conclusion, serotonin and norepinephrine are two important neurochemicals involved with regulating moods as well as other bodily functions like sleep patterns so it’s important that we keep them at healthy levels within our bodies at all times for optimal wellbeing.
