What is Industrial Revolution?
The Industrial Revolution was an incredibly important period of time that dramatically changed the way goods were made. It began in Great Britain in the late 1700s and soon spread throughout Europe and North America. This period marked a major shift from hand production methods to machines, new chemical manufacturing processes, and improved technology. The effects of this revolution were far-reaching and had drastic implications on many aspects of life, including social structures, economic growth, population movements, politics, and even culture. One major consequence of the Industrial Revolution was its effect on labor practices. Prior to this period most labor was done by skilled artisans or farmers who used their own tools or those provided by employers for specific tasks; however with increased mechanization during the industrial era much more work could be done faster with greater efficiency. This allowed manufacturers to produce larger quantities at lower costs which encouraged entrepreneurs to invest in factories employing large numbers of workers who would specialize in particular tasks within these environments. While wages increased as did standards of living for some individuals there were also drawbacks such as long working hours in often dangerous conditions leading to exploitation amongst certain groups like women and children whom companies preferred due to their smaller size and cost effectiveness compared with adult men laborers. The rise of mass manufacturing during this era led not only to changes in consumer habits but also helped create international trade routes which impacted economies all over the world through both imports and exports as well as investment capital flows into different countries’ markets creating global commercial networks which still exist today despite recent technological advancements that have threatened traditional systems due largely in part because they are unable to keep up with current demand levels caused by rapidly increasing populations around the globe. Finally while it is impossible to quantify just how much socio-economic change occurred during this pivotal time one thing remains certain: The Industrial Revolution completely transformed society as we know it today making it possible for countries everywhere achieve unprecedented levels prosperity through innovation coupled with shrewd business strategies aimed towards achieving maximum efficiency gains across various sectors worldwide (manufacturing agriculture etc).
