What is Every Day Life?
Every day life can be incredibly busy and hectic, but it is also filled with moments of joy, beauty and even magic. Every day brings a mix of the mundane and extraordinary from waking up to taking care of responsibilities to experiencing something new or spending time with loved ones. Life is constantly changing and evolving, so it’s important to take time to appreciate the everyday moments. The morning can be a great opportunity to set intentions for the day ahead. Whether its setting aside time for yourself or reflecting on what you want to accomplish that day, dedicating those few minutes in the morning will give you greater focus and clarity throughout the day. One way that I like to do this is by writing in my journal each morning. This helps me reflect on my thoughts, prioritize tasks for the day, write down ideas I’ve had for projects, etc. Throughout your daily activities don’t forget to take notice of all the small things around you from beautiful architecture or nature scenes outside your window or noticing a kind gesture from someone else these moments make our lives more meaningful when we take notice of them. Life is full of surprises if you keep an open mind and look out for them. Take breaks throughout your workday as well this could mean stepping away from your desk for lunch or enjoying a cup of coffee when you need a boost during an afternoon slump. Breaks allow us time to relax our minds so that we can come back feeling refreshed and ready tackle whatever comes next in the day without feeling overwhelmed. Ending your evening on a positive note will help set you up for success tomorrow as well. Taking some time before bed can help clear your mind so that it won’t be racing as soon as you close your eyes which leads to better sleep quality overall. Some activities I enjoy doing before bed are listening to music, reading a book (or even just one chapter.), meditating/journaling about my thoughts/feelings/experiences throughout the day or practicing some light stretching/yoga poses – all these things will help relax both body & mind after a long & busy day. No matter how hectic life gets remember that there are always little moments within each passing hour where we can stop & appreciate our lives just as they are – no matter how big or small they may be – every single moment matters & adds up over time into something truly beautiful.
