What is Aggression?
Aggression is a behavior that is defined as hostile, destructive, and violent. It is an important part of human behavior and has been studied for centuries. Aggression can be expressed in many different ways, including physical, verbal, emotional, or even passive-aggressive behavior. In some cases it can even lead to violence or criminal acts. The causes of aggression are complex and varied. It can be caused by biological factors such as hormones or genetics, environmental factors such as poverty or trauma, psychological factors such as mental illness or personality disorders, and social factors such as media influence or peer pressure. Each individual’s experience with aggression may be unique but the underlying causes are usually similar across cases. There are various strategies for managing aggressive behavior depending on the cause and context of it. For example if a person is feeling overwhelmed by stress then talking to someone in an understanding way may help them to better cope with their emotions before they resort to aggression. If a person has experienced trauma then seeking therapy can help them process what happened and learn healthier coping strategies than aggression when they feel triggered again in the future.
