In "Sun Tzu-The Art of War," various theories of war are discussed, offering advice and strategies for effectively operating an army. This book provides valuable insights and tactics that can be applied to our modern world. Among the topics covered are the concepts of righteousness and unrighteousness, offensive strategies, leading armies on marches, fighting on different terrains, and conducting fire attacks. The situations and discussions presented in this book have relevance and should be considered in today's world, especially in the context of aggressive wars.
According to Mo Ti, killing an innocent individual is considered unrighteous. However, if murder happens during a nation's attack, it is not seen as immoral but celebrated as righteous. I agree with this idea and think it applies to the United States today. I oppose participating in warfare and believe that taking lives of individuals from ot
...her countries, even if they are attacking us, is morally incorrect. Even though the intention is to safeguard our nation, people should avoid killing others.
In my perspective, engaging in aggressive wars is not the best approach. Every day, countries like the United States focus their resources on creating weapons that can cause harm to one another. This idea is reinforced by the book's portrayal of armies constantly improving their weaponry. The Chinese, for example, experienced significant success thanks to their invention of the crossbow, which played a crucial role in their accomplishments.
Throughout history, there have been various advancements in warfare, ranging from the invention of cavalry to the development of two types of spears. In modern times, nations are continuously working towards enhancing their weapons for both defensive and offensive purposes. Unfortunately, our adversaries have
resorted to using harmful bioweapons like anthrax. It is my firm conviction that countries should adopt more ethical strategies and exhibit greater wisdom when making decisions that affect a significant number of individuals. Moreover, this book has offered valuable perspectives that can be applied to both my personal life and professional ambitions.
My aspiration is to become the future leader of an engineering company. Sun-Tzu emphasizes the essential qualities that a good leader must possess, including sincerity, humanity, courage, wisdom, and strictness in order to earn respect and obedience. I personally agree with the significance of these qualities as they contribute to success. According to Sun-Tzu, mastering these qualities leads to victory.
In my opinion, it is crucial for a company's boss to have all five of these qualities in order for the company to thrive. Furthermore, I believe individuals who are planning to start a family should also embody these characteristics. As I have plans of getting married and raising a family in the future, I am committed to acquiring and exemplifying all of these traits.
My goal is to raise children who are morally upright and will continue these qualities in the future, giving me a sense of fulfillment. After reading this book, I have gained a significant amount of wisdom that can be helpful in different situations, both present and future. Sun-Tzu's teachings are applicable to our everyday lives. If we strive to achieve the five virtues, it can improve our personal lives and create a more pleasant environment for those around us.
