In the living room (“la sala”) doesn’t belong the shower (“la ducha”), dishwasher (“lavaplatos“), and the night stand (“mesita de noche“)

Note that in this case, the mother tells Luis what needs to be done and he complains.
In this case, Luis is complaining that his mother sent him to sweep the floor. If we order the words we will get the following response from his part:

Note that the words above are the ones in the book. When we form the sentence, the use of those words in Spanish makes sense, but in English the expression is different.
What we must understand is that in this case Luis’s mother tells him what needs to be done.

In this case, Luis is complaining because he says he has already done that a thousand times. That is why he uses the expression *¡qué pesado!* *(what a drag!)* at the beginning of the answer.

In this case, Luis’s mother tells him what to do using the expression *haz el favor (do the favor*). We must remember that this expression is followed by *of* and the gerund verb.

If we look at the picture, we can see that the washer and dryer are in a room near the kitchen or to the left of the shelf. So there are several possible answers. Let’s see some:

In this case there are also several options. Let’s see some examples:

We can say that the vacuum is to the left of the couch. However, since we already said that the TV is to the left of the couch, now we can say that the vacuum is in front of the TV or the shelf.

In this case, to quickly see the dish soap we can say that it is next to or to the right of the kitchen sink.

We could say that the kitchen is in front of the washer and dryer room or that it is near the living room.

We must use the expressions *es (is)*, *hay (there is/are)*, and indications about where things are, like those in the table in the previous exercise.
