My Improvement in Writing Essay Example

had a turnabout. I commenced my observation, my perception, and changed my thinking ways. However, before having achieved to let things flow during writing process, what was difficult for me was to put into words a rough draft. Perhaps, it is because all through my writing, no vital requirements were needed to write and explain and support my allegation. At that level, I had totally nothing to involve myself in.

Neither did I describe nor formulate my own points clearly without struggling and being taken away by comfort zone. Probably, I didn’t understand what was meant for me and what I was expected to do. Conversely, through thorough revision and getting ideas from different writings, I started maturing in the field of writing. I had contemplating thoughts whether to keep that any writing or not since I felt like my work was not impeccable, and this exercise almost cracked me out of the comfort zone of writing.
Despite challenging me from step-to-step, I can’t ignore the fact that it was one of the best experience in writing I ever encountered. Revision and conferences enabled me to advance in grammar skills, and learnt to accept whenever I made mistakes by following the steps of revising intelligently and practicing. It’s a long journey that needs a lot of effort, especially reading academic English, which is the source of grammar and structure, the critical aspects in the field of writing. Right now, the nature of my course has prepared me for this position.

Overall, the importance of context, purpose, style and voice are the key motivators that gives one a wide range of skills. In certain extent, understanding what I was

reading over and over was essential as it stimulated me to have insights from a distinct perspective. Otherwise, my connection to what I learnt in class could not have worked efficiently. Still, there was much to do, as I used voice as a comparison to be a good writer. I compared myself with other writers and sometimes lost confidence. I talked of other good writers I knew whenever I needed to illustrate something because I didn’t completely believe in myself. I never thought I could have complete and satisfied ideas without borrowing consent from others. But the problem with me was the opinion I had that writing could only work whenever I went for a travel, or even whenever I felt like or being followed to write certain work. Surely, procrastination is the thief of time because I think those people who engaged in writing in their last minute never made it to the level they ever endeavored to. Managing time was an issue that affected me mostly whenever I had tasks to perform. Many were the times I completed just before the due date, lacking enough time to check through my papers.

I can’t deny that now am a fast and accurate writer, with keen eye for detail, though I should be grateful for the massive improvements that I have undergone, regardless of my struggles. I have attempted to show the distinction between when I knew nothing about writing, and now that I can prove to be a writer. I have reached and written works on my own, and I am further interested in achieving good grade. Through my work, I have shown progress with

each revision and assignment that I have undertaken. Recently, I’ll be working on market reporting and it’s my certainty that I’ll be capable of handling the required responsibility in my position, have enthusiasm, courage and determination that will stir me up in achieving immense goals in my career. I grew much as a writer in just a short time. It’s my belief that I am now a complete writer who is more open-minded to the idea of countless revision and readings to have a quality product.

Thanks to Maureen for fostering me and working together, since I am not that type of a person who will complete the tasks right before due time. If I waited to the last minute to start writing, I am sure I could not be where I am today. People’s plan of their lives may not work well because life is somewhat unpredictable. But to me, I can predict my future whenever I make adequate preparations as this hugely impacts one’s life. I still have the capability of improving my next essay, readings, day, and even my future life. It all demands a great effort and then one is capable of summarizing a complex writing and formulate a nice work, so I think I will try my best to research and read more books before my next essays.
