Thomas Jefferson was the third president of United States who served as a president in the year 1801 to 1809.He was born in 1743 in a county called Albemarle in Virginia. Jefferson is usually referred to as the American founding father who drafted the declaration of independence though he was not as a great public speaker. In his draft he addressed the importance of people’s rights and freedom hence becoming the author of the declaration of independence which was adopted in 1776. Jefferson had a vision of helping individuals to have their rights and freedom before he became the president of the United States. He wanted to reduce the national debt and also increase the opportunities of farmers’ production.

Firstly, he purchased the Louisiana territory which was owned by France government and this led to the doubling of the size of the land of U.S. This helped him to accomplish his vision of supporting the farmers hence ensuring economic equality among all citizens. In conclusion, Jefferson’s presidency led to the achievement of his vision and also the failure to his success. His presidency brought the U.S country to a better position compared to their presidents.
