Titan formed a joint venture with Timex, which lasted until 1998, and established a robust distribution network throughout India. Currently, Titan watches hold a majority market share of 60% in India and are also marketed in approximately 40 countries via subsidiaries in London, Aden, Dubai, and Singapore. In India, Titan watches are available through retail chains managed by Titan Industries. The company has proudly introduced the world's thinnest wristwatch, the Titan Edge, which was developed domestically after four years of research and development. Boasting a total slimness of merely 3.5 mm and an exceptionally thin movement of 1.
Titan offers a range of watch collections, including Steel, Regalia, Raga, Fastrack, Technology, Nebula, Bandhan, Sonata, Octane, and special RHosur in Tamil Nadu. Fastrack, a popular brand among Indian youth, has diverse styles, shapes, and colors. On 4
March 2010, Titan Industries introduced its first Titan flagship store in Mumbai, India. The store is located opposite Shoppers Stop on Bandra Linking Road.
The store is spacious, covering an area of 2,500 sq ft (230 m2), and showcases over 1500 watches from Titan, including Purple, Automatics, Orion, Raga, Edge, Nebula, and more.
The Precision Engineering Division of Titan was established in 2002 and has become a leading manufacturer of Precision Parts for the Automotive and Aerospace Industries. Its diverse product range includes pointers, dashboard clusters (such as Fuel Gauge, Temperature Gauge, Gear Shift Indicators), Clocks for Automobiles, Injection molded Plastic parts, Electromechanical Assemblies for automobiles, and various pressed and turned parts for automobiles.
The Tooling Sector of Precision Engineering Division creates a variety of Press Tools, Molds, Jigs, and Fixtures for different industries.
Titan Automation Solution, a prominent provider of automation solutions across various industries, played a crucial role in the advancement of Tata Chemicals' affordable water purifier, known as Tata swach. Leveraging its precision engineering expertise, Titan Automation Solution supplied automation solutions for specialized assembly presses, facilitating the large-scale production of Tata swach. Furthermore, Titan's Prescription Eyewear Division (PEW) represents their latest venture in retail.
The company operates 48 stores nationwide as part of the "Titan Eye+" brand. The goal is to increase the number of stores to 250 in the future. Moreover, a distinctive competition called the Face Of Titan (FOT) contest is held by the company in the retail industry. This contest seeks to discover highly skilled individuals in different positions such as Salesperson, Manager, Service Personnel, Technician, and Cashier. Instead of solely emphasizing sales performance, participants are evaluated based
on various criteria that measure their overall growth in each category.
The program was originally created by Aparna Ponnappa as an assessment center for front-line staff. It was inspired by staff members who expressed their desire to "perform" and "be recognized" for their work. The program empowered retail staff at Titan to take control of their own skill development. It provided them with a fun and healthy environment to compete and showcase their talents. In 2006-07, the contest transitioned into the digital era with the implementation of IT for capturing survey data in all 200+ stores. During this time, a custom web-based software developed by I. GEN Labs was introduced to utilize the data collected from the stores and profile staff members at different levels.
TITAN company enjoys a good reputation in the Indian stock market (NSE). Sonata has been recognized as one of the top 100 most trusted brands in India according to The Brand Trust Report conducted by Trust Research Advisory. In the same study, Titan was ranked as the 10th Most Trusted Brand.
