but also what is being said.

The problem is: miscommunication between two or more parties. But where does it go wrong during communicating? The wrong interpretation, the message which isn’t properly delivered, important information that is left out (consciously as well as unconsciously) are causes of miscommunication. It may just go well, but it may as well can go terribly wrong. Miscommunication between two or more random people can lead to irritations or quarrels, but the consequences for miscommunication between the police force and internal and external parties can have much more radical consequences. Demonstrative the effects (Purposes of examples and arguments) Communication between the police and the citizens on the streets. There is a great tension between the roles of the police and what the citizen expects from the police. Research shows that many people want that the police listening better to them. But is this possible? Has an agent enough time to listen to a citizen? And can an agent afford it to listen to citizens or must an agent always be above the citizen?

A study of the CVO has shown that many agents find that communication skills are something that in practice is inherited for the supervisor and plays no major rol in the training itself. Because the police thinks this way they sometimes don’t know how to act in certain situations and this can lead to miscommunication between the police force and the citizens when there is a problem.

Social media makes communication between the police and the citizens more equal Partly due to influences of social media the communication between police and citizens changed and the

citizens became more equal partner from the police.

Communication between the police mutually The staff of the police force organizations are the most important links in the achievements of the proposed corpspurpestatments. Inside the police organization there is of a hierarchical level (top-down), this means that there is a big difference between the power of the staff. The hierarchy inside the police organizations can ensure miscommunication.

Employees often feel that the corps management are unreachable and often experience a too large threshold to apply to them. They think that feedback is meaningless because the corps management does not really listened to them. This again can ensure miscommunication between the two parties. It is up to the middel of the tast to avoid miscommunication.

Examples miscommunication

Project X Haren Project X Haren was a commotion caused by an internet meme on social media after a girl from Groningen Haren on September 21st 2012 want to organize a private party for her 16th birthday. As you all know this private party turned out into a disaster.

A lot of people blame the police force fort this disaster because of the way they had prepared themselves before the incident and the way they set-up during the fight against the riosters.

People feel that the police force in Haren should have been much better prepared and faild because they had enough time to focus on this major incident. Sources inside the police force have stated that they know the incident would escalate three weeks before the indicent. Also the access to Haren must closed much earlier and it was also unclear whether the

deployed police officers had been deployed on time.

These has been during Project X Haren many miscommunications that could have been avoided if the police force had prepared themself better.

Fatal incident The Hague Holland Spoor On the 24th of november 2012 the police shot a 17 year old boy, named Rishi Chandrikasingh. According to a traveler the boy was carrying a weapon while he was walking on the platform. The traveler informed the police that there was a boy walking around on The Hague Holland Spoor with a weapon. The confrontation between the 17 year old boy and the police force, ended with a shot from a police weapon. The boy was shot in his neck and deceased a few hours later from the injuries that he had. Later it turned out to be that the boy had no weapon. A innocent child’s life has been taken away based on assumptions.

This is another example of the police force and miscommunication, because they based their action on a telephone report from a random traveler. However they should have frisked the 17 year old boy. Following the incident, we can see the lack of comunication between te police force and external parties. It is also true that the internal communication should be much better, because they were with 3 police officers against one 17 year old boy.
