Gender-related problems are not limited to men mistreating women; they can also involve women making inappropriate advances towards men or even other women. Furthermore, gender issues may arise when male counterparts taunt and tease female colleagues as a way to assert or solidify their power.

Not adhering to this Code of Ethics can jeopardize a criminal case, conviction, or the employment of a law enforcement official. The "Law Enforcement Code of Ethics" highlights the essential duty of a Law Enforcement Officer to protect lives and property in service to humanity. They are also responsible for shielding the innocent from deceit and the vulnerable from oppression or intimidation while upholding peace and preventing violence or disorder. Moreover, they must honor the Constitutional rights of all individuals to liberty, equality, and justice.
