This alone shows how the company is killing the potential of local companies who would manufacture and assemble the TV set in the United States. Based on the same issue of employment and killing local industries, Walmart discriminates against women, elderly and different abled workers. For example, in the year 2014 the company was forced to pay about $363,419 to clear a lawsuit by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission for harassing an intellectual disable employee.

When it comes to wages and salaries, Walmart pays substandard salaries to their employees. The wages are even below the normal ranges. For example, an employee earns about $12.50 per hour which is way below ($19. 64) what the federal Bureau of Labour suggests. These low salaries have made it hard for its employees to live a comfortable life as other employees in America (Etherton, Snellstrom, Margerum, Almon & University of Oregon, 2007).
