In so many ways the 2004 movie version of “The Phantom of the Opera” is better than the original Broadway. The movie, ecause of the time it was produced in and the new technology available, gives a more astonishing experience.

The animation comes out much more in a movie than it does being preformed live and this factor makes it much easier for the audience to get into. Also, when a Broadway feature is being preformed it depends extremely on how close a member of the audience sits to the stage to have an actor/actress audience member connection. For a movie, anyone who watches it feels like they are in the front row.
