BTK Killer-Informational Speech "I just put it in one of the first letters. I’m always surprised I put it up there first. I think it was just — Bind, Torture, Kill. Now I had a label on me. It was like the 'Green River Killer' and “Son of Sam” and a whole slew of others stuff”. (Dennis Rader) That was the chilling truth of the disgusting thoughts that ran through the mind of a true serial killer, Dennis Rader, otherwise known as the BTK Killer. There has always been people missing a few too many brain cells, and becoming a parasite to society, who feed on the pain and misery of innocent human beings.

So today I would like to inform you on the sick ways of the BTK Killer and his plots to escape the ways of society. The BTK Killer is someone

...

who disregarded the fact that a human should act socially acceptable, he had twisted thoughts that are disturbing mentally and he physically ruined the lives of 10 innocent people. You may just know him as the ‘BTK Killer’ or you may not know him at all, though the skin crawling truth is that among people’s everyday lives walked a man with the sole intentions to harm and torture innocent civilians and is therefore known as Wichita’s most notorious serial killer.

who were firm with their kids but always fair. He was the first of four boys in the family and was one to always participate in their church. In his later years he was in the military for active duty and soon after was discharged.

In his childhood home there was not even one occurrence of abuse or anything that would lead to the type of person that Dennis Rader became. Though, just because there was nothing in the household that gave clues, Dennis being himself was quite enough. He had S&M magazines in his possession and on many occasions he would steal panties, tie a rope around his neck and take pictures of himself as if he were hanging himself. As the years passed he became more violent, strangling dogs and cats followed by binding them with wire and hanging them in barns, which in his later years the binding appeared again but with humans.

Dennis Rader married a woman named Paula Dietz, who he had two children with. All 30 years he was married to her there was never any complaining until around the time of his arrest when he made the comment of her cramping his lifestyle, "Personally I would like to live by myself, be a lone wolf completely. ”(Dennis Rader) Rader not only had a family but he was also the president of the Church he went to along with being a Boy Scout leader, none of that being suspicious.

Different people gave different opinions on Rader, some confessing how he was one of the most arrogant and rude people they had ever met while others looked at him as just a regular

guy. One event that has stayed with his name would be when a neighbor saw him measure his neighbors grass before calling the city to put in a complaint that his grass was too tall which would be one of his more control freak moments. Rader was not one to stop if there was an obstacle in the way, he would persevere to get around everything that might stop his chances for another kill.

He would leave things lying around, not in plain sight but in places that were not that well hidden. His wife had found a poem he had written about one of his victims laying around their house where he then proceeded to tell her it was for a class of his. Not only were there poems but he would leave things such as knifes from killings in his drawers and he had a whole closet full of pictures and souvenirs from the houses of the victims in a closet at home that his wife never bothered to look through.

The reminders of the killings were left everywhere, he wanted to open drawers and find something that would show that he made a successful killing. Along with things being in his house he placed things in his work drawer, things like murder journals, sketches and torture plans, all these things surrounded his life and made him more confident on a daily basis. He was a very sneaky man who truly manipulated society which caused his case to go cold for years giving him the satisfaction that he wanted. He applied for jobs that helped him get around security and make him less obvious, along

with making very questionable comments.

He applied for jobs at places such as ADT, which during that period of time most of his victims were killed. None of the other employees remember him as nice or polite and they all mostly hated him. Having that job he was capable of rigging alarm systems so that he was able to just walk right in or was able to disarm the alarm to get to the victim. He of course proceeded and didn’t stop at just ADT; he applied for a job at the police station though his application was denied. Once again, not letting that stop him he applied for a job and began to work at the Census Bureau where he had to verify addresses which in eturn gave him accesses to homes. Almost ten years had passed by now and he had not proceeded with another killing though when the 30 year anniversary came up for the Otero killings the local newspaper had a story on it. "I read that in the paper and I always though, you know, I'd like to bring this back out again, but should I? And I think I've reached the point in my life — the kids were gone. Not really bored, but kind of bored. "(Dennis Rader) He began to collect thoughts again for another killing when something like this came up that reminded him once again of how he got away with it.

The BTK Killer found himself to be very clever and witty when he would make his comments regarding the killings, "Eventually I was going to tell the story in my terms and not his terms

... But they didn't know how I worked and moved around the projects, the haunts, how I picked my victims ... I could just really stir the hornet nest up with the media by just showing them pictures and puzzles and playing a game with them. "(Dennis Rader) He took pride in his work and made sure that he didn’t make mistakes which showed with the fact that it took around 25 years for him to get caught. At first it was kind of a cat and mouse game…I know a lot of the police terminology. I know how they do things. So it yeah, it’s kinda a bonding type thing, you know. I enjoyed it. And once the confession was out, then, then the bonding really started. You know, I just really opened up and you know we shared jokes and everything else. It’s just like we were buddies. ”(Dennis Rader) Dennis Rader, The BTK Killer, was a disturbed man who when arrested and questioned had no guilt in his voice got away with one of the most heinous crimes a human being can commit, murder.

He disregarded society, hurt innocent people and scarred their families for the rest of their lives. In a way some people may say Dennis Rader did escape the ways of society because he was able to get away with 10 murders for around 25 years and when caught the murders were then blamed on his disturbing thoughts and mental illness which in a way lets him off the hook, sadly. "I was omnipresent, and there was no place in Kansas that you were really safe if I was on

the prowl. "(Dennis Rader) and those are the true words of Kansas’s most well known serial killer.
