The theory of multiple intelligences suggests that individuals have several types of intelligence corresponding to different brain functions, which can be assessed through tests. This assessment identifies exceptional ability in a specific type but does not guarantee success for the individual (Gardner, 1993).

An experiment was conducted to investigate the influence of intelligence on success. Two children underwent an exam to assess their intellect levels. Despite one child achieving a high score, indicating a promising future, the other who scored low was anticipated to fail. Nonetheless, as per Gardner (1993), it was discovered years later that the low-scoring child excelled in business and surpas

sed the high-scoring child's accomplishments.

The experiment highlights that one's intelligence quotient does not necessarily dictate their future prospects. While a high IQ may lead to success in academics, it may not translate to other areas such as music. Conversely, those with exceptional musical abilities may excel in this field but struggle academically.

It is not possible to make accurate predictions about future success due to variations among individuals. Depending solely on intelligence as an indicator of potential success is ill-advised. While numerical information can offer some understanding of capabilities, determination and motivation may be critical elements in attaining success.
