What the advertisement that I will be talking about is trying to sell, is a perfume for early aged women and girls and it is target to an audience between 16 and 35 years old and it was released in the early 1990 s.

It is obvious that the company is trying to sell as much perfumes as the women can possible buy. This can be say due to what the advertisement is showing, a red convertible car with three girls on it. The three are wearing very bright and colorful clothes; two of them are playing with bubbles and smiling at the same time. While the third one a blond girl is driving the convertible and laughing.Some girly stuff that can be seen inside the car is shopping bags and a pair of furry dice hanging on one of th

The use of characters in an advertisement is usually vital for a good understanding. In this one three models of early twenties had been chosen to play a role of three best friends on a convertible going nowhere. The fact that they are smiling and seem like laughing make us realizes the good energy the three have, also the use of powerful color clothes and a very casual style helps the energy go through the paper.Another non verbal code use is the fact of having two of the three characters looking out of the frame of the shot which are steering at some bubbles which give a sense of freedom and youth by discovering all new sort of stuff.

convince the similarity of the audience life with what the advertisement is showing. For example we not only see beautiful women posing, indeed we see normal young people having a good time with their friends and enjoying life with no responsibilities and a good perfume making them feel in a good mood.Often the use of color on any advertisement is a main resource to catch the audience attention. The reason for this choice of colors is to appeal to certain audience which the product is projected to, for example in this one girly color can be seen.

Like pink, orange, red, light blue, yellow, green. The use of this particular selection of colors which represent energy, freedom, light, summer or youth helps to be attract to it when it's seen on a magazine or billboard.Maybe a connotation of these colors is that their represent the idea of summer and freedom which in general give us an idea of no obligations and free time. As well as the colors a special shot of camera is use to brought attention on the audience and help them imagine a context for it.

The bird`s eye view shot is placed on the top of the car and that is the only thing showed , hence the audience have to create a scenario for the climate, the place the car is travelling to and the background of the characters.Indeed the advertisement itself let the audience be free and decide to create their own imaginary story. The purpose of the shot is to the women of the audience concentrate only on the three girls and their actions by illustrating they are

looking upwards to the bubbles and the sky giving a sense of flying and care less. Yet the objects for the setting have become essential parts of an advertisement and their use often has been successful.Despite the fact that there's only a car for the setting it does not mean the advertisement itself is not effective, the fact that it is only a car what it is showed it feels like a door open to imagination had been opened.

It could be said that by not showing where the car is going to, the viewer feels a lit bit freer to build up their own story. And by having a car with no roof perhaps we can connote that there no limit for such story. As well as the use of bubbles flying through the top of it gives a sense of freedom youth and inspiration, despite the fact that using bubbles give a touch of fresh and new to the product perhaps.The use of shopping bags symbolize a sense of independence because they are old enough to make their own choices to go wherever they want and buy whatever they want, however the fact that they are placed there is to entice girls with it to go and buy stuff in the shopping maybe the Tribe perfume. The copy is one of the biggest issues to create when an advertisement is when it is building, in this one the colors chosen had been bright ones pink and red and its placed on the cloak of the car and the perfume with the slogan at the front and bottom of it.Furthermore the idea of placing

the name of the perfume on the cloak give a sense that the fragrance is travelling anywhere therefore is everywhere, indeed is seems that it is coming into us.

The font of the copy looks like is been brush painting due to the boarders or extremities moved as if the brush has been recently used. This type of font gives a sense of modern, informality and originality and it looks like a type of sign of the group.The use of the word "Tribe" which means group, band, gang with pretty same characteristics, the idea of the brand by using these words is perhaps to refer to the three girls on the advertisement as they gave something in common perhaps friends, tastes or even a perfume. The slogan which as I said before is placed on the front of it and bottom, below the name has two parts A Fragrance Uprising.

The use of fragrance in comparison to the use of perfume gives a feeling of exclusive, formal and it sound better perhaps the advertisers used this word to create this sense of anchorage into the audience.For the use of uprising in the one hand it could be said uprising is meaning a search perhaps the looking up into the bubbles or beyond or it also could be said that is mean a sort of rebellion with a youth aspect as the girls have. Indeed another connotation we can make is that the perfume actually will give you a sense of an emotional, physical or economic uprising. Finally I could say the advertisement due to its characteristics could be very successful at achieving its purpose of

promote this perfume on girls.I think it should be placed where where it would be seen by the target audience. For example fashion magazines for teenagers and young women, also the idea of placing it on a billboard on a street or a shopping.

In conclusion I think I should add to it to it be more effective and have a bigger impact is by adding a sort of symbol to the perfume so the target audience can recognize the perfume even if the name of it is not there. Also showing the product in a bigger image o to include it somewhere in the car, for example the shopping bags or the girl's hands.
