After finishing my undergraduate in 2009, I was very hopeful of securing a job in psychology. I always had passion in psychology and I was enthusiastic to apply my knowledge and skills. Unfortunately, I was not able to secure a psychology job at that time. I was so frustrated. I was faced with a dilemma of whether to stick with psychology or transitioning to accounting. I wanted to do something that dealt with psychology directly but then I also needed to support myself financially.

This crucial discovery helped me in making the decision to transition from psychology to accounting. I realized that I could still apply my psychology knowledge and skills in accounting. It worked out for me and I have been working in the accounting field ever since.

Self-examination may have led me to a different outcome in that I may have in the end declined the opportunity to work in the accounting field. This is because I have a strong passion for doing something that directly deals with psychology.
