The people in our community need to have other perspectives when making decisions that affect the people. Specifically, teenagers are in that population that adults don’t care for there opinion because it's not important or it's not valid in their eyes. But some adults do take what teenagers see in the community that is a problem. For example, in Killeen Texas, there was a kid that was forced to go to her father's meeting which was the city council meeting in the 1900’s she went there and she was asked by one of the members what can we do to make the youth more active. She told them that: the youth fill that we have no voice, that the adults don’t listen to our concerns and there's nothing to do in Killeen. So a city council member considered that and made an organization called YAC: Youth Advisory Council which works with the city council as a reason to city council so that the teenagers of Killeen have a voice in there community. However, this organization is still standing today in Killeen Texas. To summarize this is a good example of what can happen if an adult and a teenager come together and see other perspectives than there own this makes that girl a leader than a follower in her community.

The effort to let their voices be heard when something is wrong within the community is more important

than anything in this world. The way we voice our opinion is a great opportunity to show how we care to make effective change. For example, when teenagers express a problem in their community and then they make an effective change. The organization called YAC has done many events and made effective change in the city of Killeen such as special needs dance, graffiti park project and off the record. These events are made by teenagers and are sponsored by there city council. In summary, using your voice as a teenager can cause change it might be small at the time but your voice can be a cause for change also the reason why a problem could be solved.

To summarize Teenagers can become leaders in their community it may not seem a big deal but everything that they do will affect them and the people in their life. For them using there voice helps the community see other perspectives than other adults and it shows that teenagers can put in the effort to let their voice be heard when something is wrong within the community. Even though there are many kids these days that consumed with technology that they wouldn't notice that there were problems. There are many teenagers in the world making big or small changes in the world every day.
