Yellow fever, caused by different virus families, is a form of hemorrhagic fever. Although some individuals infected with yellow fever may not display any symptoms, others might experience symptoms such as headaches, muscle and body pains, fever, chills, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, and weakness around three days after being infected.

Yellow fever, which is primarily found in hot and humid regions like rainforests in South America and Africa, is a disease transmitted by mosquitos and ticks. It mainly affects the respiratory system. Blood tests are utilized to diagnose the illness by identifying antibodies created by the immune system as a response to the viral infection. The virus replicates within mosquitos and ticks, making them carriers of yellow fever.<

The coccus-shaped bacteria has a size ranging from 50 to 90nm. According to the CDC, Flavivirus Fibiscus is the genus of yellow fever. This genus belongs to Group B Arbo–virus and is part of the Toga virus family. It shares antigens with other members of the same genus, such as the West Nile virus and Dengue. Along with yellow fever, the Flaviviridae family consists of over 70 other viruses. Yellow fever stands out among the different virus groups within the Flavivirus Species.

Yellow fever stands apart from other viruses in two significant aspects. Firstly, it has the unique capability of being transmitted through mosquitoes. Moreover, it is one of the limited number of viruses that frequently do not exhibit any symptoms in infected individuals.
