One of the factors that an organization can use to give it a competitive advantage in the external environment is the organizational resources. These are both tangible and intangible resources. Apart from offering quality services and products, GE has concentrates majorly in leadership. Through effective leadership, the organization has structured by utilizing its core competencies. It is because of quality leadership that the organization has enabled a communication network in the organization that allows interaction to take place both diagonally and vertically. This has made is easy for the sharing of information in the organization between juniors employees and senior employees. In order for the organization to ensure that its management strategies are being passed from one employee to another, the organization has established steps that ensure human resource development. Another factor that has enabled the organization to succeed is the structure that is used by the organization. Unlike other firms that utilize a centralized form of management, GE operates using a decentralized structure. One of the main methods that are in Singapore and that has made the company to succeed in the country is uses of decentralized management. All the company’s segments in Singapore are managed dependently. The strategies that are applied depends on the market, this form of management has enabled the organization to excel in all the markets that it has invested in (Thompson & Martin, 2005, pg. 361).

It should be realized that an organization that uses innovative methods in the production of goods and services helps portray good image of an organization. An organization like General Electric Corporation that operates in different environments need to explore innovative strategies that help it operate in these environments (Dominguez, 2016, pg. 140). It is because of the innovation that is used in the organization coupling with good leadership that the organization has been successful not only in Singapore but in all its markets.
One other factor that is making the organization successful is the alliances that the organization makes with other businesses. This is has been the strategy that the organization has been using especially in navigating in new environments. As such, the organization attracts many customers who associate the organization products with quality. Indeed the organization has established strategies to ensure that the products and the services that are produced by the company are of high quality(Dominguez, 2016, pg. 141). This is one of the factors that have made the organization successful in most of its markets. In addition, the organization uses quality machines and equipment; this either stipulates the strategy of the organization to invest more in its resources to give it more power
in the external environment.
