The learning needs of my group (aged between 12-17) include: to know how they can contract the sexually transmitted diseases; to know how someone can contract a pregnancy; to understand the current issues concerning the different contraceptives available, how they can access them, and how they are used; and lastly understand the importance of abstinence at such tender age, more so by limiting their curiosity concerning the “sex episodes” as they have read or heard from different sources.

My teaching involved student from high school; this is the stage when the teen becomes sexually active, and a great deal should be taken to enlighten them concerning the teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. educes the rate of teen pregnancy. The study shows that among the student who receive sex education, 50% are less likely to experience an unintended pregnancy than those taught abstinence-only sex-education.

My teaching will also impact this student to help to delay the age of first sex. As with common believe, most people believe that contraception education encourages sex, but that is bluntly untrue. By teaching the student on the importance of abstinence and birth control, it is likely that they will have their first sex older than their peers. My teaching will be focused on reducing the curiosity of this younger group about sex experimentation at a tender age.
