What is Social Policy?

Additionally, social policies are used to promote public safety through crime prevention initiatives such as gun control measures or drug abuse awareness campaigns. In recent years there has been an increasing focus on how best to design effective social policies in order create equitable societies where every individual can reach their full potential regardless of background or circumstances. Governments have sought ways in which they can better target resources so that those most in need receive the greatest benefit from them while also trying not discourage efforts at personal development and economic self-sufficiency . Going forward it will be important for governments across the world work together find new solutions that address evolving challenges facing our society today such inequality , climate change , technological disruption etc .
