What is North And South America?

North and South America are two distinct continents that form part of the Western Hemisphere. North America is located in the northern half of the hemisphere and is home to Canada, Mexico, and the United States of America. South America is located in the southern half of the hemisphere and contains countries such as Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Columbia, Chile and Ecuador. Each continent has its own unique geography, cultures, wildlife and history that make it an intriguing place to explore. The geography of North America includes a large range of land types from deserts to mountains with lush forests and ice-capped peaks. The Rocky Mountains run through much of North American with some areas extending into Alaska. Alongside this are major rivers such as the Mississippi River which flows south from Minnesota all the way down to Louisiana. This river provides a vital source for agriculture for many states in this region. South America also contains diverse landscapes including rainforests like Amazonia which covers most of Brazil’s territory as well as parts of Colombia and Peru; high plains such as those found in Bolivia; coastal desert regions in Chile; jungle vegetation along much Colombia’s Caribbean coast; mountain chains such as Andes that run throughout much South American territory; tropical savannahs like Pantanal Mato Grosso do Sul/Mato Grosso Plateau located between Bolivia/Paraguay/Brazil borders. The Amazon River makes its way through these lands providing water transport systems throughout many areas while other major rivers include Orinoco River (Venezuela) Rio de la Plata (Arg-Uru), Paraguay River (Para-Bol) & Magdalena River (Colombia). The cultures found on both continents vary greatly by country but generally both have strong ties with their native populations who continue to preserve their traditional customs alongside modern practices developed over centuries from European colonization efforts plus influences from African descendants brought over during slave trade periods all creating a unique blend across each continent today. In North American countries like USA & Canada there are multiple languages spoken by native populations alongside English while Spanish dominates language use within Latin countries further south where Portuguese also makes its presence felt due largely to Brazilian influence within region.
