What is Moral And Ethical Principles?
Moral and ethical principles are the standards of behavior which guide us in our everyday life. They provide a framework for right and wrong, as well as how to act in certain situations. They are also used to assess whether an action is morally acceptable or not.At the most basic level, moral principles are based on core values such as honesty, respect, fairness, justice and responsibility. These values should be applied when making decisions or engaging in activities that affect other people or society in general. For example, it would be wrong to act dishonestly or steal from someone else; this would violate one’s moral principles. On the other hand, helping someone who needs assistance would be an example of acting according to moral principles. Ethical principles are similar to moral principles but have more of an emphasis on professional conduct and behavior within specific fields such as medicine or law; these fields may have their own codes of ethics which govern how people should behave within that field. Ethical principles also ensure that professionals adhere to certain standards such as treating patients with respect and maintaining patient confidentiality. In conclusion, moral and ethical principles provide guidelines for how we should behave in our everyday lives both towards ourselves and others. They can help us make difficult decisions by providing a set of core values upon which we can base our judgment; they also help ensure that professionals adhere to certain standards when dealing with others in their field of work.
