Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Daytona Beach Campus, If one were to ask my friends to describe me, they would describe me as very pleasant, diverse, active and intelligent man. I think one of my most distinguishing characteristics is the diversity of experiences I possess. I am a business student with a flair for the arts. I am a man with technical aptitude and an interest in management, finance, and economics. I also have a passion for travelling and understanding different cultures of the world.
All these elements have given me a very wide vision, with various degrees of knowledge in a range of topics. I strongly believe that although some are not related directly, all these qualities will influence my graduate work. Since my early age, I was passionate of the world of business management and economics. I had made my choice to get involv
...ed in business and invest my passion for it, in management and finance higher studies; so I had been enrolled in a business school program in Tunisia, in order to get the basic knowledge and business skills.
Therefore, I obtained my Bachelor degree (4years) in Finance (June 2010), after long different courses in the fields of management, economics, statistics, accountancy, and finance... And then, my love to the jobs of Hospitality, Tourism and especially the aviation management field had pushed me to enroll in a MS degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management, fortifying my basic knowledge and multiplying my future opportunities. The study program was very interesting and beneficial, and I will graduate by June 2012.
Meanwhile, I had some professional experiences across. I had summer internships, as an accountant in a famous holding compan
in Tunisia in July 2008 named Poulina Group Holding, in which I had discovered the professional environment, and acquired some practical accounting abilities learnt during the undergraduate studies. Also, I had an internship as an F&B controller in a prestigious hotel in Hammamet, Tunisia in July 2011; in which I practiced the theoretical knowledge acquired during my Master courses in Hospitality and Tourism management.
But before that, I had a part time job during the years of education as a financial controller in a good local trading company named Techno-Trade Company. It was between July 2009 and June 2011, in order to get involved into the professional life, accumulate experience, help myself for the studies’ and living expenses, and learn some practical abilities in the field of accountancy and financial management which couldn’t be seen during education years.
It was really benefic, as today I have found myself with advantageous skills, such as good communication and team work abilities. Although, I have decided to go further in my studies in Business , apply for the MBA and so to develop the background I have. I hadn’t found better than the USA, Internationally recognized degrees, well reputed educational system and top ranked universities.
Yet, I arrived in Los Angeles in September 2011, in order to get closer to the American environment and the American educational system, to prepare for the GMAT (in Kaplan International Centers, Los Angeles) and to improve my English skills. I liked California and the West Coast, but I feel like I like the East Coast mostly. I am fond of aviation, airports and travels, and I had been searching for an MBA with a concentration
in that field. Until I have found the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, in which I aimed to be enrolled even before I came to the States.
I have been also encouraged by many friends, teachers and graduate advisers encountered in here, about the Embry-Riddle. The MBA Degree at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University will provide me with theoretical understanding, an in depth idea of practical approaches in aiding managerial decision-making and research skills to enable me to develop an expertise in the core areas of business strategies and global management operations, and so on to get a management leadership position and succeed an International career.
The Master of Business Administration degree at ERAU will give me all the opportunities that an MBA student enjoys with the added bonus of a competitive edge in a specialized field, in addition to the strong foundation I need to succeed in today’s aviation environment. I would like to concentrate in the Airlines Management career track, as it is always a powerful fast-growing and developing sector, and it is becoming ever more sophisticated and complex.
This continuous growth will require more and more professionals with the knowledge to maximize the efficiency of the aviation system. This in addition to my passion for the jobs of travel and tourism, air transportation, logistics, and especially aviation industry and airlines. Moreover, strong quantitative skills, familiarity with computer applications and experience gained while working on various school projects have helped me to develop sharp analytical abilities and have given me the confidence to tackle advanced problems on a acro level. In addition to my background spoken and written languages, such as French, English, basic Italian, and the Arabic mother tongue;
and the Master degree courses learnt during the recent years in the field of Tourism and Hospitality that would certainly help me as well. Thus, I feel like I am well fitted for this field, and I intend to succeed in the study program.
I am keen after that, to start my career in a leading company in the USA, grow and learn with, and carry out my academic knowledge. After that, why not experience other opportunities abroad. Then, experienced and skillful, I could establish myself in my country (Tunisia) and manage my own business. By this way, I am helping economy and teaching others the skills already acquired. Being ambitious is certainly an appreciated thing…
