In this assignment, I have divided a scene from Romeo and Juliet into thirteen sections. These sections encompass the music and sound effects, lighting, and even the characters I will portray.

In section one, there is a medium shot at eye level to capture Benvolio and Mercutio's conversation and to showcase their facial expressions. The background sounds of a market and people muttering serve as the only music or sound effects. The clothing worn by Mercutio, which is red, symbolizes his loyalty to Romeo and his family. Benvolio, on the other hand, is portrayed by an actor who is short, has brown hair, a skinny physique, and possesses caring nature with a penchant for fun. In contrast, Mercutio's actor is described as strong, tall, fit, with black hair, outgoing, loud, rough, and possessing a good sense of humor. Additionally, lighting is u

sed in this section to depict it being the middle of the day and very hot.

Section two features an extreme long shot and a Dutch angle to depict the positioning of everyone and to convey Mercutio and Benvolio's shock. The use of dramatic, sinister music underscores Tybalt's villainous nature and his unpopularity with Mercutio and Benvolio. Additionally, the sound effects of footsteps emphasize Tybalt's approach towards Mercutio and Benvolio. The swords serve as significant props, indicating their readiness to engage in a fight. Notably, the red clothing worn by Mercutio and the blue worn by Tybalt symbolize their loyalty to their respective factions—Mercutio to himself and Tybalt to Juliet and her family. The lighting, akin to the previous scene, reflects a midday setting with intense heat.

at eye level to capture the conversation among the characters and show some market activity in the background. Sinister music continues to play, hinting at impending trouble. The lighting conveys that it is hot and around noon.

A sinister man, who is tall, skinny, and strong, portrays Tybalts character. He also exudes a villainous demeanor and lacks a conscience.

In this section of the scene, I focus on Romeo's surprised expression when he sees Tybalt. Innocent music plays to emphasize Romeo's impeccable reputation. The background noise of the market can still be heard. The lighting highlights Romeo's features and the fact that it is a hot day. Romeo wearing red symbolizes his affiliation with the Montagues.

To portray Romeo, the actor should be tall, fair-skinned, strong, outgoing, slim, innocent-looking, and attractive.

The next section is accompanied by dramatic and eerie music, foreshadowing impending trouble. The camera angle is high to capture the entire scene in a medium shot. Once again, the lighting emphasizes the heat and the time of day.

In the following section, I use a long shot with a high angle to show the crowd watching the fight. Sinister and dramatic music underscores the intensity of the altercation. Background voices discussing the fight can be heard. The lighting reveals the scorching midday sun and highlights Tybalt and Mercutio's sweaty foreheads.

In the seventh section, Mercutio's face is captured in an extreme close up, depicting the anguish and expression he bears. Following this, Romeo's face is also shown in an extreme close up, revealing his shock and despair. Subsequently, a medium shot at eye level displays the crowd's reaction, as well as Tybalt and Benvolio's responses. The atmosphere is intensified

by the presence of dramatic, melancholic music, accompanied by the sound of the crowd murmuring in despair. The lighting continues to convey the time of day as noon, with a hot ambiance.

The eighth section of this scene features a high-angle long shot of the market, accompanied by melancholic music. The sounds of the crowd are still present but not as prominent. The lighting indicates that it is a hot day in the middle of the scene.

The ninth section focuses on a close-up of Tybalt, capturing his fear and other reactions. Sinister music emphasizes his role in Mercutio's death, while the light reflects the intense heat, suggestive of midday.

In the tenth section, there is intense music and a medium shot from a high angle to portray the battle and the spectators. The background noises of the crowd continue. The lighting remains similar to section six, indicating that it is during daytime and can be inferred as hot due to the sweat on their foreheads reflecting the light.

The eleventh section depicts the same scene as the seventh section. It includes a close-up shot of Tybalt's face reflecting his pain and despair. Sad yet sinister music accompanies the scene, while the sound of the crowd talking among themselves can be heard. The lighting highlights the intensity of the heat and signifies that it is taking place during midday.

The twelfth section features fast and frantic music, indicating Romeo's need to leave quickly. I am using a medium shot from a high angle to capture Romeo's escape and also showcase Tybalt. The only sound effects present are the murmur of the crowd talking. The lighting once again emphasizes

the heat of the day, as it glistens on Romeo's face, especially since he is running, and it is midday.

In this scene's final section, a long shot captures the despair and sorrow on everyone's faces. Throughout, there is silence except for sobbing and conversations. The dim lighting emphasizes sadness and mourning.
