Observational learning involves cognitive processes such as attention, motor skills, motivation, and memory. It occurs when individuals observe others' actions and later reproduce them. To facilitate this process, observers must pay close attention to the demonstrated behavior and store it in their memory.

Observational learning encompasses the ability to both recall and execute behavior. Motivation is a contributing factor in observational learning, as it requires a reason to engage in the action. Therefore, all components are crucial in observational learning, regardless of the complexity of the behavior being learned.

It is possible to learn how to play a specific song on the piano through observational learning. During my visits to my friend's house, I would listen and watch her playing the song repeatedly since she owned a piano. Eventually, I learned how to play it

and why their dishes were so aromatic. Despite the fact that cooking requires physical dexterity, I was eager to learn it because of the freedom it would provide me by enabling me to independently nourish myself at any time.

Observational learning can be applied in different situations, such as when children learn to ride a bike. Some receive step-by-step instructions from their parents or guardians, while others observe someone else. In my case, I learned how to ride by watching a friend instead of being taught by my parents. Even though I had the necessary motor skills, it took time to adapt them to this new experience. By observing my friend's actions, I gained knowledge on balance and pedal use.

Observational learning is an essential aspect of life, as everyone engages in it at some point. What caught my attention and fueled my desire to learn was the enjoyment factor of the activity, which also applies to many other skills. Despite not being a common approach to learning how to ride a bike, observational learning can be utilized in mastering various abilities.

Observational learning has numerous potential applications, including those drawn from my personal experiences. Four crucial components of this method are attention, memory, motor skills, and motivation; all must be present to achieve success. Even the most fundamental actions individuals perform can result from observational research. In sum, observational learning plays a significant role in every person's life.
