A hero is someone who is admired for their brave actions, the courage they show, and is a leader. In J. R. R. Toolkit's novel, The Hobbit, it shows a young hobbit who discovers the ups and downs to an adventure. From goblins, to elves, to spiders, to many other creatures. Bilbo Bagging went through a lot. Nearly getting killed for one thing; the resonates. He defiantly shows that a hero can be small and weak, and that anything can be achieved. It is clear that Bilbo Bagging is a hero at the end of the novel.

Bilbo shows the most bravery and courage when he eaves the company from the elves. First he thought of a plan; get the company into wine barrels and then they would get tossed into the water, making them free. Once Bilbo's plan carries through, the company is no longer trapped and the company finally makes Bilbo feel apart of the company. Bilbo has oilfield his Job, as a burglar by stealing a great two handled cup, " he grasped a great two-handled cup, as heavy as he could carry, and one fearful eye upwards" (Tolkien, 216). Although Smug stirred his wing, Bilbo was not yet frightened. Once, the dragon began to snore, that is when Bilbo fled. In conclusion, it is clear that Bagging is a hero because of the leadership he shows. Finally, Bilbo Bagging shows determination. No matter how big the disaster, Bilbo Bagging always came through and was always there for the company.

The company thought Bilbo was no help. One day " the dwarves wanted to know why he could not stick to his friends and come along with them, and why the wizard had not chosen someone with more sense" (Tolkien, 92). They also said this because Bilbo was nowhere to be found. " He was more trouble than use" (Tolkien, 92), said the dwarves. While the company thought Bilbo would never come back, Bilbo shows up. This is determination because it shows he did not give up, to catch up with the company.

In inclusion, it is clear that Bilbo Bagging is a hero because of all of the determination he shows. It is clear that a hero is someone who is admired for their brave actions, who shows leadership, and is determined when doing anything. Bilbo has clearly shown heroism throughout the novel. From fighting goblins, escaping from elves and many other creatures. Nothing has stopped Bilbo Bagging. He defiantly shows no matter the height, things can be achieved.
