You may also have to meet her white mother who will like to check you out, just to make sure that you are the right person for her gather.

he gives us this information he is expecting us to solve it because he has Just prepared us for this situation. The narrator does not give us detailed guidelines on how to solve the situations. He is just preparing us for the situations which can give us time to prepare a clever respond.
The narrator does not tell us about his own experiences with girls who have different racial backgrounds. He does not menu what he has experienced. We Just assume that he is a very experienced man who has had his share of girls. When you read the text you do not have a feeling that the narrator is trying to manipulate you. You Just get the feeling that he is trying to teach you how to socialize with girls. The text may come handy for boys who want to date a girl with another skin-color, but the text might not be very useful for girls. The guide Is more suitable for men or boys.
The short story Is called "How to date a brown girl". Already in the title is the narrator warning us about it is a guide to date girls. The narrator Is also very convincing. He Is not using doubtful words such as: "might, maybe or may" "You will be tempted to pick it up" (Line 128). In this sentence he Is not using a doubtful word. Instead he is using the word "will". Because he is using the word "will" he seems to be very confident. He refers the reader as "you" which gives the effect that he is talking directly to the reader. Like It is some kind
of a personal letter only you can read.
It gives the short story a personal wise which makes it very nice to read. As a reader you get the feeling that it is a personal guide only for you. The short story does not end with an open ending. It Is just ending with the beginning. He starts to talk about the "government cheese" again. When you read the short story you get the feeling that the writer has a clear message which he wants to show the world. You might get the impression that it is more than girls he Is talking about.
