The U.S is one of the countries with the largest democracy in the world and also the most powerful nation on earth economically, politically and military. Its political system provides many important respects compared to other countries in the world. It is important to acknowledge the people who contributed in architecting the constitution which provides that basic necessity for the America political system. The founders such as Alexander Hamilton and James Madison made the history by having impersonal ideas in their minds that they cherished in the hearts towards the political and economic welfare of the country. The founding fathers of the constitution wanted to sheer its longevity and serve to the interests of Americans. Specifically the checks and balances within the three branches of government were meant to limit the power of each other. With the original constitution

Presently, it can be noted that each branch has occasionally asserted its authority over the other. It is possible to note that the branches of the government are suffering from identity crisis as power distribution has changed. The presidency has evolved much since the constitution was framed becoming too powerful. Initially this branch was limited in power compared to the other two branches but through power balancing it has drastically shifted such that it has balanced with the legislative. I would much agree that the Executive Branch has been most successful especially in expanding its powers much beyond what had been envisioned by founders.

develop an efficient movement. The country is diverse society having people with competing interests that are more or less reflected in the politics of the country. Therefore, it be noted to some extend the president role is more of political and less of executive officer and the executive can be viewed as it limiting the democracy. The executive has increased number of agreements which were under the senate to ratify. Furthermore, the executive has more capacity to examine problems and make decisions which before was done by the senate.

In conclusion, through the constitution the founders had the vision of increasing the power of the government so that it can address the needs of the nation satisfactorily. It is evident that most of this has been achieved but it is clear that the governance is becoming more complex. As discussed in the paper the function of the executive have somehow continued to function as articulated by the founders despite the numerous changes it had in the past decades
