Over time, a large portion of individuals have faced ongoing challenges related to experiencing insufficient feelings. To address this issue, they look for comfort in a reliable protagonist who personifies qualities such as power, assurance, and bravery, and can offer support during difficult periods.

The two stones recount the same fight between Beowulf and Greened, featuring phrases using alliteration. Beowulf includes examples such as "filled with the food from the feast" and "grim and greedy Greened".

Beowulf, written by an unknown Anglo Saxon author in the eighth century, is an epic poem, while John Gardner's novel Grendel was written in 1971. Beowulf's language is characterized by original and rich phrases, such as "Nor have I seen a mightier man-at-arms on this earth than the one standing here: unless I am mistaken, he is truly nobl

In Beowulf, the use of first person omniscient narration allows the narrator to be a character in the story who possesses knowledge of all characters' thoughts and feelings. Alternatively, Greened is narrated in first person by one character who speaks on their own behalf. Despite both stories featuring Greened as a character, there are contrasting portrayals of him. In Beowulf, he is depicted as a savage creature that preys on humans; while in Greened, he is presented as an amiable and benevolent being.

Even though there are two more battles depicted in the poem, ultimately Greened concludes with Beowulf's fight. Personally, I find Beowulf to be a superior piece of literature due to its portrayal of a more genuine perspective on Greened.
