You are talking about Dhirubhai Ambani but have you think of Lakshmi Mittal the 6th Richest Man in the world and you will be astonished to find that he is only a commerce graduate still he make it to the top. cs but only practical knowledge ca step you to ladder of success. Well i totally agree to this point as Jayabaskar said that when you have to face the world you can't just speak out the stuff you have learned in the class. There are different conditions in real life. What we learn in the classroom is the reel life but in the real life we need the experience to face these challenges.

And skill comes with experience. erson can become successful not only through education. It is only the person's skill, hard work, and zeal to reach the zenith. There is no need of studying the rules to play a game, it can be learnt by seeing others playing or playing himself one can learn which comes from experience. This is called practical experience. One should know how to manage

things practically which comes by experience. So it is experience which make a person how to manage things practically.

So managerial skills comes by experience and not when theoretically learnt. So experience speaks for itself. life is not a sprint, its a marathon. Train well and there is nothing thats going to stop you from reaching the finishing point Experience is the better teacher than the teacher in the classroom. Most of the things which we learn in the classroom is used to score marks in the examinations only. It is just like mugging up and vomiting and we omit to apply in practice. The live experience alone is used more often to lead our lives. I would say that managerial skills could be developed only if one tries to tackle the situation effectively where ever one is and whatever the situation is.

This could be learn t even in class or at any place, the experience would however better one's performance or skill. But we cannot say that the classroom managerial skills would dominate the real world experiences. Skills are not only learned in classrooms, throughout our life we keep getting knowledge and skills even if we don't go to schools. Some of the biggest business people have not studied in classrooms but Remember they have studied by themselves from their surroundings.

As all the people does not have this ability we should have classroom skills Well, here we are comparing the managerial skills developed by learning in classroom and the other one gained by experience. Though the theoretical background is essential but one could develop these skills only through experience

by facing critical situations where one has to take correct decisions. One just cannot play the game just by knowing the rules but by implementing those rules while practicing. We also see various great businessmen who don't have MBA degree.

They were not managers by birth but their experience makes them perfect in their managerial skills.  In classrooms a student only can read books and read case studies which is not the experience of him so it not imprints in his mind and forget it soon.

It is a fact that text books can cover only few situations whereas real life is a combination of many other difficult situations  Reading books is just giving students glimpse how they should react in perticular situation but when that particular situation comes in real life it depends on his personality that how he reacts. In real life a situation and its memory is combination of reaction, result and feelings like sadness, happiness, winning loss which becomes part of human mind forever which not happens in classroom i think managerial skills are more needy rather than class room study. the point is that which one is more helpful ur career so my suggestion is that practical knowledge is very needy to seeing current situation because today whether u having more degree but if u dont have experience in a particular field than u cannot do anything like for example- engineering, pilot and etc Yes, this fact that class room and real life situation is completely different, an essential thing of life we learn from real experience what we come across every day and every situation.

 There is

a famous quote which japan follows:"I Hear : I Forget I Saw : I Remember I Do : I Understand"  books can cover only a few situations but when it comes to real time situations its all about that instant.. one can learn these skills with experience.. but experience without classroom skills can't help though.. because classroom skills help's one to think in that particular direction. Managerial skills which we learn from the classroom always not helping in our practical life. Practically sometimes we have to take some important decision which affects our organisation so on that time our practical thinking is more important than our bookish knowledge. In professionalism we have to be prepare for the any type of situation Its not about how to gain a skill, its about matching the real time with theories. Class room provides you the platform but in the actual scenario you learn more being a part of industry where so many dependents follow your decisions.

Wrong decision are never forgotten, giving you a chance to improve and good ones no doubt builds confidence. Managerial skills learnt in the classroom can never match those learnt from experience at the work place. The skills acquired in the class room remains non-factual and contradict with the realty. Class room skills remain theoretical vowing to its applicability. Whereas the experience and skills gained from work in an hour is more than the bookish knowledge gained throughout the years. The variation is due to lack of knowledge of faculty teaching in management institutes.

They concentrate on the age-old definitions and processes of getting the things done; whereas the complex business structure

keeps on changing. Classroom learning vs experiential learning is always a debate. Skills are the tools that cannot be simply copied or adapted by listening to lectures or reading books. While practical knowledge imparts tons of experience making the ways to work enthusiastic and challenges a person’s skills to be used at its full capacity. So being bookish is quite different from practical and cannot be taken as skill development which comes from classroom.
