The primary objective of the topics and themes in these literary works will forever align with the author's intentions, while still striking a chord with readers as they did initially. In this paper, I will outline my expectations for literary masterpieces and the qualities I anticipate them possessing upon finishing the English 106 course. Additionally, I will recount my personal encounters with literary masterpieces and provide insight into their respective contexts.

Throughout my high school years and the period after high school but before college, I came across several literary masterpieces like Shakespeare's Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet, Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, Mark Twain's The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, and Bram Stoker's Dracula. Out of all these works, Dracula and Romeo and Juliet were particularly significant to me as personal favorites.
