Film is about a man, used by God to help and serve people especially those who are hungry and particularly affected by the war between Christians and Moors. All through his inspiring experiences and trials, there are lessons that give us explanation and a much wider point of view on how to be a good servant not only to others but also to God. Dominic de Guzman was born in Calarago, Spain, in 1170. His parents were Joan of Anza and Felix de Guzman. Before his mother conceived him, she saw in an idea that a dog with a flaming torch in its mouth would come out from er womb and set the world passionate.
First, St. Dominic's humility. He is very humble that even if he did a very small or simple fault, he asks forgiveness to the person
...that he made mistake to. Even if he becomes a priest on the former part of the film, he keeps his feet on the ground, showing that he is not unique to everyone and still a humble servant to his church and to good Lord himself. Second is love. Dominic shows that everybody must show love and compassion to others. St. Dominic shows that aside from loving yourself, you should also love others. St.
Dominic shows his love not only to his family and friends, but also to the strangers especially to those who can't afford to buy food. Third, St. Dominic thought us is his selflessness. He doesn't care anymore to himself, and help all the people who need to be fed and preach to give them enlightenment. He shows that man should help one anothe
especially in the times that we need to help and comfort each other. He even gave his rosary, which is given by his uncle, to a boy when he is travelling with other preachers and priests.
The life of Saint Dominic, works and death were marked by quiet piety and unceasing devotion to the hard work of spreading the Gospel during a turbulent time. He believed in education because an educated person could read the Bible and Dominic had no doubt would then make the informed decision to switch to Catholicism. Fourth, Trust. When Saint Dominic started the new order he must have had a lot of trust. He had to have trust in God because He has a plan for everyone. He also needed trust in his followers because when you work on creating a ew order you become a family.
He teaches us that you should have trust in others around you and in God. Dominic also preached about the rosary and made it popular in his time. He taught us to pray the rosary. Fifth, A strong leader. Dominic was a strong leader who fascinated many friars to his work, yet did not desire the power that comes with leadership. He trusted his brother-companions in ways that astonished his generation in the basic life, sending them off to the universities when they were only a handful in number.
