Having graduated from Nanjing University of Technology, I would like to be an IT engineer due to high interest and enthusiasm in computer world, I jointed a software . However I found that talking to different people could bring me more happiness and informative knowledge rather than just sitting in front of a machine. Thus, I decided to change the direction of my career. First thing that I considered about is to learn and improve my English skill which is a good tool for communicating with not only local people but multinational people as well.
After study of English language, I found a job of interest, a project interpreter, which to assist foreign engineers and Chinese engineers on industrial project. During the project, I was given chance to source local merchandise simultaneously. Since then I have recogn
...ized that job of sourcing or procurement can bring what I really would like to obtain, such as dealing with various people to learn and grow myself with great sense of achievement. Consequently, I determined my career direction to procurement or commercial field.
I finally got the position of what I really desired after few years experience of working on procurement progress. My progress over the years has given me excellent experience, I have been greatly appreciated by my boss, suppliers, and colleagues, and then I was promoted to an upper level of helping leading a raw material purchasing team subsequently. Thus, I have more chance and challenges to improve and apply my research skills, analytical skills, team participation skills, and leadership skills.
Now my career has been on the correct way, I hav
been really enjoying daily work, in addition, most important acquisition I have gained is to learn more and grow myself with great enthusiasm and passion, every given chance is a moment of challenge to better myself even more in any situation. It is obvious that my career progression is moving in accordance with what I expected, has been good and incremental – I have progressed from computer engineer to commercial field with supervisory responsibility and I believe that it will continue going towards to my next destination of whole career planning and development.
