As a result, communities are formed without moral values and become obstacles to progress. To tackle this problem, individuals from both the public and private sectors must confront corruption by upholding principles of integrity and honesty.
The role of universities in socialization and their contribution to important social structures is crucial. Hence, it is the responsibility of universities to ensure that their actions positively impact society's rejuvenation. By educating students about honesty and scientific integrity, they can help safeguard and promote the rights of others while instilling a sense of responsibility. a culture of accountability at all levels.
SABIC has created a Code of Ethics, underscoring its dedication to integrity (SABIC 2014). This code offers guidance for employee conduct and reaffirms its commitment to core values, including employee commitment, ethical business practices, and relationships with stakeholders. SABIC upholds moral standards in all its business interactions worldwide. Additionally, SABIC has conducted campaigns to establish internal behavioral rules across all company sites.
Additionally, on an annual basis, there is a campaign to actively increase awareness and comprehension of the Code of Ethics. This campaign involves providing an internal portal for educating employees.
In my opinion, establishing integrity in educational settings is beneficial. A code of ethics for academic integrity can outline the responsibilities and rights of teachers and students, and should be enforced and protected. Moreover, integrity should be promoted universally within academic institutions, rather than being solely dictated by administrators, with efforts made to address any existing gaps.
