But, on the other hand, this is also where we find our “fair weathered friends”, the people who are around only for the good times, and never for the bad. The last type of love is Agape, which is defined as unconditional love.

It comes from your character, and can never be affected by someone else’s actions. It is not a feeling, it is a choice. It cannot be earned or taken away. A good example would be a mother’s love for her baby.

The baby is born into the world, and has done nothing to deserve the love of his mother. Yet, through every dirty diaper and sleepless night, the mother continues to love her child unconditionally, without ever thinking twice about it. You don’t have Agape love for someone because of something they have done, but simply because they are.There are no restrictions and no qualifications. Agape love is the highest truth, and it is not afraid to tell it. So, what’s the point in debating semantics when it comes to the meaning of love? Although we may all agree on the textbook definition, there is really no way to accurately say what the meaning of love is for everyone in this world.

There are many different kinds of love, but I think it’s time we all stop trying to figure it out, and just enjoy the experience.
