Edupreneurs: Driving the Digital India Vision for EdTech Startups
To improve the learning experience for younger individuals, aspiring entrepreneurs are developing unique startup concepts that aim to enhance their education and knowledge.
Edugild, an Ed Tech startup accelerator, has signed a collaborative MoU with Cambridge University Press (CUP) India to support the development of the EdTech startup ecosystem in India. The MoU was signed by Ratnesh Kumar Jha, Managing Director of Cambridge University Press, South Asia, and Rishi Kapal, CEO of Edugild. This collaboration aims to catalyze the tech startup ecosystem in education and knowledge management, including assistive technology-based learning and development. Rishi Kapal emphasized the importance of this collaboration and stated that nurturing this ecosystem is critical for success.
Edugild, which is founded by MAEER's Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT), Pune, offers a 16-week intensive mentorship and product realization program specifically for startups in the education technology space. The organiz
...ation is dedicated to supporting startups that creatively use technology in education and is backed by a panel of liberal minds, successful entrepreneurs, institutions, mentors, and investors.
Through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Edugild and CUP, the two organizations aim to bring various key stakeholders together on a single platform. This includes startups, mentors, early-stage funding providers, publishing houses, corporations, subject matter experts, institutional partners, and investors. Both companies have a strategic intent to provide crucial resources such as strong assessment and evaluation of startups, joint mentorship programs, knowledge management, success enhancement programs, and opportunities for potential testing and test-bedding of solutions within the CUP ecosystem.
The partnership with Edugild reaffirms CUP's commitment to supporting and contributing to the government's Digital India vision. Their goal is to evaluate and provide mentorship to startups specifically in the areas

The Edugild Accelerator is currently accepting applications for its second batch and has already started accelerating the first batch of cohorts. These companies will receive mentorship, seed funding, MPV solution development, product market fit guidance, customer acquisition support, and access to high-ticket funds as part of the acceleration program. These MoUs will assist aspiring EdTech companies in distinguishing themselves in the competitive world.
