In the past, admission to higher and professional studies relied on entrance examinations conducted by different high schools. However, this system began to decline due to issues such as leaked question papers, manipulated marks, copying, and unfair means of conduct. To address these problems, certain reputable institutions introduced entrance examinations to effectively evaluate a large number of students from diverse backgrounds. One successful example of a manual entrance examination is conducted by INCANT.
In present times, the student population has increased significantly. Therefore, implementing an automated entrance examination system would be beneficial for both schools and students. This system would simplify the process of taking the examination, keep records of students, and provide immediate results. It would also ensure that the examination remains secure and stored properly to prevent any leaks. The school will m
...aintain a copy of the examination to avoid any potential issues.
The objective of this study is to design user-friendly software for an automated entrance examination in a school. This project aims to replace the manual process with a computerized one for administering entrance examinations.
The main objective is to create an automated entrance examination that will propel the school's technological advancement and save time for both students and the school itself. This software aims to provide faster and more convenient examination results by allowing users to simply click and type, eliminating the need for printing. Additionally, it seeks to enhance the school system through the implementation of this software.
Statement of the Problem
In the past, schools utilized manual methods for conducting entrance examinations. The following issues arise from this traditional approach:
1) It consumes a significant amount of time, effort, and financia
resources.
2) Test question papers need to be printed, along with answer sheets for each student taking the examination.
3) Teachers and the school administration must dedicate their time and effort to check, evaluate, record, and publish each student's results.
4) Generating summaries and writing reports from the examination results is time-consuming.
5) Result duplication occurs due to difficulties in maintaining the records, leading to repetitive data entry.
6) There is a lack of security as test questions are stored in filing cabinets, making them easily accessible to anyone and increasing the risk of leakage.
Through this computerized entrance examination software, users or examinees will be guided to complete an information form by simply clicking and typing on a computer. The computerized entrance exam serves as the test question, answer sheet, and information form, eliminating the need for manual checking by teachers. This system is beneficial for schools that previously conducted manual entrance exams as it saves time and effort. It also improves the examination process by providing a good system for student enrollment and enhancing the organization of exams for teachers. Students benefit from the convenience of not needing questionnaires or paper, as they can simply click and type their answers. Overall, computerized entrance exams contribute to improved institutions by reducing workloads, minimizing activities, and ensuring more accurate scoring. They are easier to administer and yield more reliable results through proper software manipulation.
